Subsidy Protest Killer Cop Gets N250m Bail

A Lagos High Court in Ikeja has granted bail to the alleged 2012 subsidy protest killer policeman, Segun Fabunmi. The court, on Thursday, granted Fabunmi a bail in the sum of N250 million with two sureties, who must have landed properties worth N100 million each in Lagos.

Fabunmi allegedly killed Adedamola Daramola, also known as Ademola Aderinto, around Yaya Abatan area of Ogba, Lagos, in January 2012, during the subsidy protest.

Fabunmi was dismissed from service and his trial began in May 2013. He was a Divisional Police Officer, DPO, with the rank of a Chief Superintendent of Police, CSP, before his dismissal.
